Ch. Cantenac Brown (0.75 L)
NM: One of the standout and perhaps most surprising showings was the performance of Cantenac-Brown ’09. It has a more lifted, oaky bouquet with dark cherries, cassis and violets. It displays good precision with admirable purity. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet sappy entry. It is very primal compared to its peers, but it shows very good balance, whilst the finish is precise and silky smooth. This has more to give and so patience is required. Tasted January 2013.
