Ch. Palmer (0.75 L)
NM: Tasted at an off-line lunch at The Ledbury. A superb showing for Palmer. A lovely, leafy, rather austere nose paradigmatic of the vintage, with the Cabernet Sauvignon firmly in the driving seat: hints of leather, Asian spice and the scent of í dusty atticí€ developing with time. None of those Margaux violets here! The palate is medium-bodied, fresh and vibrant with fine acidity. This is old school Palmer, stately and conservative, unassuming and yet persuasive with its natural, effortless balance. This bottle is as good as you will find this wine. Drink now-2020. Tasted October 2009.
