Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru (0.75 L)
The 2016 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru is a blend of several premier crus that were damaged by the frost. It has an attractive, well-defined bouquet of brambly red berry fruit, touches of balsamic and a light marine influence. The palate is balanced with rounded tannin and well-judged acidity, although that melange of premier crus seems to just cancel each other out, and the slightly hard and obdurate finish feels a tad predictable compared to some of Drouhin’s other 2016s.
