Corton Bressandes (0.75 L)
BH: Discreet wood does not detract unduly from the very ripe cassis and blackberry liqueur aromas that evidence a top note of menthol. There is excellent mid-palate concentration and fine phenolic maturity to the supporting structural elements that help to impart a suave and velvety texture to the round and notably serious flavors that terminate in a gorgeously long finish. This is really most impressive and if there is such a thing as a ”bargain” grand cru, this would qualify.
