Musigny (0.75 L)

Absolutely gorgeous black fruit with smoky notes and medium weight, very precise, almost delicate flavors and a finely detailed finish with excellent persistence. This is not nearly as structured as the other 93s but it is still quite serious in its own right. Beautiful stuff.This too is still remarkably primary with a nose that is the crystalline essence of black cherry pinot sap. Massively structured, thick flavors with dense, ripe tannins that are completely buffered by all the extract. This is flat out great and still very much a baby. In my view, this is the best de Vogüé Musigny since at least 71.
