Bonnes Mares (0.75 L)

BH Like several wines in the range this was very badly reduced, indeed to the point the nose was overly unpleasant. I decanted the wine and tried it at several different points ranging from 15 minutes to 8 hours later with no improvement. Moreover the finish was acidic and sharp, which I would again describe as unpleasant. It’s possible that this was simply a bad bottle as it’s hard to believe that the domaine would voluntarily release a wine with so many flaws. In any event, the quality displayed by this particular example was not in my view commercially acceptable. Not rated.
