Ch. Mouton Rothschild (0.75 L)
$4,180.00
NM: Tasted blind at the 2007 Bordeaux horizontal in Southwold. The Mouton-Rothschild 2007 is very reserved on the nose with graphite and sous-bois: good definition, quite aristocratic and stoic. The palate is medium-bodied with a touch of spice on the entry, supple tannins with good weight, quite í juicyí€ towards the finish (less chewy than previous bottles) with notes of boysenberry and wild strawberry, then a gentle but firm grip on the dry finish. This needs time but if is very commendable given the challenges of the growing season. Tasted January 2011.
